CHROMATE CONVERSION COATINGS
Also referred to as “Irriditing” and “Alodining” are coatings produced by providing a superficial layer of Chromium compound on Aluminum, Zinc, Cadmium or Magnesium. We can provide clear, light iridescent as well as gold color to the coatings. We do both chromium based as well as RoHC complaint.
The Chromate Conversion coatings have the following characteristics:
- Good corrosion resistance. (Min 96 Hours Salt Spray)
- Excellent base for paint adhesion and rubber bonding.
- Unlike anodizing, the coating maintains conductivity.
Our Chromic Conversion Coatings meet or exceed the properties set forth in MIL-C-5541
